Zahira College Colombo is currently implementing a comprehensive programme of work to upgrade educational standards, extra curricular activities, and sports, and for this purpose has recently appointed a new Principal. In addition to building extra classrooms, Computer Centres, Gymnasium and Swimming Pool and refurbishing the existing classrooms, the Board of Governors, as a part of this program is also taking a close look at the Human Resources, both at teaching level and administration to strengthen the cadres to achieve higher standards in all activities in the College.The Board now wishes to appoint a Deputy Principal who has sound knowledge of the technicalities of school administration plus good management competence to work with the Principal and support him in the day to day operations of his functions.
We are looking for a top calibre Educationist with a proven track record both at teaching level and as a school Administrator. Good interpersonal communication skills and leadership qualities to deal with teachers, students, staff, parents and the Management are vital. It is unlikely that a person with less than 10 years experience at good school(s) and at senior level will have the background to handle a position of this nature.
The ideal candidate would be a mature pro-active person in the age range 40-50 years, computer literate, preferably trilingual and capable of working in the English language. The applicant must have a very high command of English with outstanding speaking and writing skills.
The candidate should be a graduate of a recognized University in Sri Lanka or overseas with supporting Degrees/Diplomas in Education.
A very attractive salary package with medical insurance cover (on confirmation) is envisaged for this important position which will carry sizable responsibility.
