The Tragedy of our Times

“Stop Bullying and Don’t be a By-Stander” is now the URGENT  slogan if not the message to school children of the Western nations. Apparently, the children in Western societies have misinterpreted, the nature of survival of the fittest to be extended to the culture of might is right. They have quite innocently picked up this ugly behavior pattern from their elders – who in turn have picked it from their self seeking politicians , and they , from the prevailing  world order of ‘Might is Right”. Oh yes, today, bullying in society  both covert and overt , is very much in vogue. There is no longer the bonhomie that we old timers used to savor in all walks of life..

Even among Western nations there is no love lost as they spy on each other whilst also scratching each others  backs, shamelessly clinging  on to the utterly bankrupt archaic Colonial agenda of exploiting the weaker nations,  bullying them into submission . What can you expect from the innocent school going children.  Bullying  is definitely a dangerous trend and the collapse of  civilized social structures into a dismal  abyss. Bullying is exemplified  by illegal invasions, regime changes, racial profiling , demonizing nations that seek independence from superpowers, calling  weaker nations and groups that oppose the bullies, as terrorists whilst the bullies who terrorize them are protected by the lopsided paid media as saviors. There is also  preferential tariffs only  to those who succumb to bullying and panelizing nations who do not. There are also other covert methods by which the more powerful bully the weak. In the workplace – its flogging a willing horse who is paid less, promoting a system that favors a particular class and not efficiency, unfairly withholding earned dues from lesser mortals who  have to make several reminders to receive  their rightful dues, , nepotism, racism, etc. Rewarding rouge institutions that favour the powerful establishment and the  present system- eg. Bank and Insurance fraud  bailouts and even allowing  them fat bonuses, depriving HealthCare to the weaker members of society. Bullies also support bullies as in the case of Palestine. Indeed bullying is an established social malaise practiced and perpetrated  by the powerful on the weak. 

As for those who stand by and watch – they little realize that they too are being bullied into surrendering their freedom to the whims of the bullies. Naves, indeed they are.

 And so, to appeal to school gong kids to Stop bullying   is both a tragy-comedy and  a wicked joke that reflects the social psyche, which  is played out by the Western nations who want to maintain their status quo as “its  we who control the world order” and hence Bullying  along with military might is perfectly in ORDER. How naïve can one get?. Poor unfortunate children who will eventually grow up to be morons or naves in our once free society. What a great tragedy.- God forbid. Yours Truly
