So far there is no vaccination or at least a cure for Ebola. That's why all what we can depend on are prevention mechanisms. Prevention includes decreasing the spread of disease from infected monkeys and pigs to humans.
This may be done by checking such animals for infection and killing and properly disposing of the diseased bodies if the illness is discovered. Properly cooking meat and wearing protective clothing when handling meat or contacting an infected person may also be helpful, as well as washing hands when around a person with the disease. Samples of bodily fluids and tissues from people with the disease should be handled with special caution.
The following infograph provides a brief collection of Ebola's outbreaks since the 1970s and till its worst outbreak in 2014. (You may click to enlarge the image).
