Every second house in India is watching Zakir Naik's peace TV. He is equally famous and popular in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and other parts of the world. In India, the second most watched religious personality is Dr. Israr Ahmed. The young scholars of Deoband, Nadwa are well acquainted with Zakir Naik unlike before. They are just brushing aside all sorts of propaganda. Masjid Azizia and other numerous masajids of Jamaat are regularly selling Zakir Naik's material every Friday. If internet and electronic media has brought lots of problems to all of us, then the same has brought direct access to the scholars like Zakir Naik without any layers of second hand information. The program with Oxford Union is a classic example of direct access even though the British and Canadian governments have banned him in conjunction with some Muslim traitors (self-appointed guardians of Islam) who are well known in India and Pakistan, who are extremely worried of the presentations of Br. Naik directly from the Glorious Qur'an. They are feeling that if the present trend continues, they will not be in business anymore. Their whole agenda is to divide and rule the community or jamaa by confusing on Fiqh issues. They know that Br. Naik is not wrong, but they still oppose him as they did to Iqbal, Maududi and many other scholars in the past. Their economical and political compulsions are the key factors in their brutal pursuit to attack Br. Naik. They sit somewhere in their seminaries and spread the propaganda to the lower levels. The foot-soldeirs receives the information and then innocently attack on behalf of higher Muslim-Rabbis without realizing that it is a well-orchestrated-game-plan and that they are being used as fodder. The ordinary people who are attacking Br. Naik are innocent and are being misused/misled. The good thing is that Br. Naik is not counter-attacking and not wasting his time. Had he done that, I would have been the first person to stop watching him. Finally, at the same time, everybody is not required to agree with Br. Naik. Nobody is perfect. However, at the end of the day, we are all Muslims.
