501 Tamil-Muslim students honoured in Kattankudy today, By: S.M.M. Ramzan

tamil-muslimThe function to honour 501 Tamil-Muslim students who have passed the ‘Grade V’ Scholarship Examination in Tamil Medium from the Ampara, Batticaloa and Polannaruwa districts is held today at the Hisbullah Cultural Centre in Kattankudy.

185 students from the Ampara district, 307 students from the Batticaloa district and 09 students from the Polonnaruwa district will be honoured at this function where the Batticaloa Central Zonal Director of Education U.L.M. Zainulabdeen has been invited as Chief Guest. This programme is sponsored by the World Assembly of Youths (WAMY).

The education development forum (EDF) of Sri Lanka is conducting this programme every year through out Sri Lanka and this is the 6th of its kind. The 5th programme was held at the Athullah auditorium in Akkaraipattu last year.
